The Washington Post Walks Crawls Away

"The Washington Post has knuckled under to the anti-war crowd and withdrawn co-sponsorship of the "Freedom Walk," an event organized by the Pentagon to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks. Anti-war protestors came crawling out of the woodwork when they heard that The Post was working with several other DC media outlets and the Department of Defense to help organize the event. The whiners, who included a number of the paper's reporters, forced The Post to change its mind, claiming that such a move would politicize the event. They would know best, since they are the ones who actually did politicize it. Apparently, these folks are happy only when The Post is objectively savaging Republican administrations and even-handedly reporting all the bad news on Iraq that fits."
