Restraint might get society's praise, but it won't get Chuckie's or Dick's. They want activism!!! So long as this action is cleared by a laundry list of their special interest groups beforehand.
I am prepared to appreciate Judge Roberts for being restrained.

As am I.
The Dems had no chance against this man. But I do think, the passing of Rehnquist aided Roberts in the expediency of the process. They know they are replacing one conservative with another.
The next one (replacing O'Connor) will not be easy, in my estimation.
