But of course, men are not angels, so we need government. So then the question becomes: "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" -- an old Roman warning that means, "Who shall watch the watchers themselves?"

And the answer is "we, the people" must, and must be kept constantly in mind. This is the advantage that a democracy, and more specifically in our case, a democratic republic has that communism, socialism, fascism, totalitarianism, do not have.

We enjoy the privilege of watching over our watchers; they do not. A fact that our Castro-loving Hollywood crowd cannot grasp.
