I'm in this weird (socialistic) place

Conservatives are constantly asking what makes Hollywood so liberal; and why is it that such a large number of actors and actresses turn out to be so liberal and posses socialistic tendencies. One of the more popular theories espoused is that while they enjoy their wealth, fame, lifestyle, and (perceived) importance, they feel guilty for having these "riches", while the majority of the population does not, and having "it all" without having to work that hard for it.

George Clooney recently was quoted in NEWSWEEK as saying, "I'm in this weird place. I have this beautiful house in Italy and I have these social agendas. I don't want to give up that lifestyle because I enjoy it, but I also feel that I have a responsibility. So the way I try to rationalize that... is for instance, with [my new] casino, 25 percent of anything it makes will go to the "Make Poverty History" campaign. It's the only way I can reconcile being successful."

It all makes sense, does it not?
