LET'S HAVE A WARM WELCOME

Today I received an e-mail from one of America's finest.

Spc. Phil Van Treuren is a soldier in the Ohio Army National Guard, JAG Corps. He recently returned from deployment in New Orleans "in the wake of Hurricane Katrina." He goes on to state that "We have created a blog which shares stories and pictures from soldiers who served in Operation Vigilant Relief as well as highlighting the other great humanitarian efforts of the U.S. military.

We all know (don't we?) what a poor job MSM does in reporting the positives of our great military. Well, Spc. Van Treuren wants to "let the public know about the great humanitarian work our military is doing."

Isn't the "new media" great? We can get up-to-date information from the men and women who really know what the hell is going on - unfiltered - factual - and without the media spin and it's biases; that is if we get it at all.

So I have added their blog to my blogroll, and am asking you to go over to Camp Katrina and have a look around.

And if you have a mind to, drop them a note or comment, and tell them thanks.
