The Importance of Ideology
There is an exceptional post that I want to make you aware of. It is not a quick read. If you only read 6-8 paragraph articles that are pure opinion and routinely shallow and don't make you think, then this article is not for you.
If however, you don't mind spending 10 minutes or more, depending on how much you "chew on" that which you are reading, then this article is for you.
Tigerhawk has written an excellent piece, "Considering victory conditions in the wider war and the importance of ideology."
I highly recommend it. It is informational and very well thought out.

Oh, and I must add, the good Dr. has written a good piece himself, "The Next Phase in Iraq" and is worthy of your time. Dr. "D" works overseas in the State Department.
