FUNERAL PROTESTS

Last Thursday, March 9th, the Minnesota House passed, unanimously (133-0), a bill to keep protestors at least 1000 feet away from all funeral observances. The legislation was sparked by the disgusting protests at a fallen soldiers funeral by the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka.

It was sent to the Senate where it was expected to pass easily there as well. Governor Pawlenty has already claimed he would sign the bill.
