New and notable legislation:
Texas Congressmen Jeb Hensarling and Ron Paul wrote and brought forth the Online Freedom of Speech Act (HR 1606) to exempt the Internet from regulation under the current and stupid McCain-Feingold "electioneering" laws. McCain-Feingold is an ill-conceived farce and an infringement on free speech. I advocate strongly that the House vote "yes" to HR 1606.
If it fails to become law, websites will be at risk of being shut down for 30 days before primary elections and 60 before general elections if viewed as conveying "electioneering communications" under McCain-Feingold, and that would be disgraceful.

Once again those in authority try to silence the people. Freedom of speech is a bedrock American Freedom. This will be in court real fast if they try to put a stop or a stall to it.
