Commenting on gasoline prices:

"It's ridiculous. I had to take out a loan to fill up my minivan. It's crazy." — Katie Couric on NBC's Today, 15 August 2005.

Of course, at the time, Couric was raking in somewhere in the neighborhood of $15,000,000 to $17,000,000 a year. Poor thing.
