"CUT AND RUN" BIG BERTHA MURTHA

Isn't it amazing how much air time "John we can't win this thing Murtha" gets on TV? Maybe he ought to give up his seat and become a full time member of MSM. Maybe he could replace "Dan I'd Rather Deal in Fiction," now that 60 Minutes is giving him the heave-ho.

WASHINGTON, DC, United States (UPI) -- Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., charged Sunday that President George W. Bush has no plan for winning the war in Iraq.

Speaking on NBC`s 'Meet the Press,' Murtha said the administration`s 'stay-the-course' strategy is not a plan.

'You can`t sit there in the air-conditioned office and tell these troops that are carrying 70 pounds on their back inside these armored vessels and hit with (improvised explosive devices) every day, seeing their friends blown up, their buddies blown up, and he says 'Stay the course?' said Murtha. 'Yeah, it`s easy to say that from Washington D.C.'

Murtha said instability in Iraq, along with the strain on U.S. troops, are key reasons why the United States should redeploy troops.

'Staying the course' is not a strategy, Johnny boy says, belittling the Bush administration's Iraq policy. But, "cut-and-run" is a strategy, John? It's a recipe for defeat, John, but hardly a strategy.
