Tehran, Iran (AHN) - "Giving strong indications that Iran will not budge in its nuclear enrichment program despite the United Nations Security Council's sanctions, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday that sanctions would not affect the country's nuclear program.
Referring to the United Nations Security Council's sanctions as 'dead', he said, 'ten more similar resolutions will not affect our economy and our policy.'
Delivering the country's budget for the New Year, Ahmadinejad said: 'The government has completely controlled the prices of some food stuffs, such as bread, gas, water and electricity.'
The U.N. Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 1737 on Iran Dec. 23, which imposed sanctions on the country's nuclear weapons programs but allowed officials to make foreign trips and companies to do business abroad."
