Climate Panel Recommends Global Temperature Ceiling, Carbon Tax

"A panel of scientists has presented the United Nations a detailed plan for combating climate change. VOA's correspondent at the U.N. Peter Heinlein reports the strategy involves reaching a global agreement on a temperature ceiling."
Not only do we believe we can impact our environment by UN mandated governmental controls, but we actually believe we can manipulate it and control it to the extent of deciding what our ideal temperature is, establish some pre-determined temperature cap, and then establishing a carbon tax to ensure that we don't exceed this mandated cap. We have gone insane.
What if God (or Allah, if you prefer) does not approve of our cap? What then? He's probably lying on the floors of heaven laughing right now as I pound on this keyboard.
For those who do not believe in God, but believe in mother earth and idolize her, what if she rejects your artificial cap? What then?
Why don't we cut through the bull? Cut to the chase. Why doesn't the United States just give the U.N. the equivalent of 50% of our GDP revenues in the way of taxes and dues and be done with it? That is, after all, what this is all about.
