Hatred, Born of Kindness
"Khalid Shaikh Mohammed shocked Americans with his boastful confession of planning some 31 terrorist assaults. The most alarming revelation, however involved the college education the terrorist mass murderer received in the United States, subsidized by the generosity of Christian donors and North Carolina taxpayers.
Born in oil-rich Kuwait to a family of Pakistani ancestry, Mohammed enrolled at Chowan College, a rural Baptist institution, before transferring to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he graduated in mechanical engineering. In other words, he came to hate our nation not because we harmed him, but because we helped him; not because he knew nothing of the nation's character, but because he benefited from its open-hearted hospitality.
Those who suggest we can appease Islamists by showing them more friendliness ought to consider Mohammed's sobering example, and remember that terrorist leaders almost always represent arrogant elites rather than the truly downtrodden."
