Castle Coalition: 50 State Report Card: Tracking Eminent Domain Reform Legislation since Kelo

"In the two years since the U.S. Supreme Court’s now-infamous decision in Kelo v. City of New London, 41 states have passed new laws aimed at curbing the abuse of eminent domain for private use."

My state, Minnesota, received a grade of B-. How did your state grade out? You can download just your state (PDF) or all 50.

  • My state, Connecticutt, within which Kelo occurred has failed to do anything. They did create an ombudsman position but have so far failed to fill it.

(We have a Republican governor but a veto proof Democrat legislature)

I just don't feel mean enough today to adcequately express my feelings on this.

  • Well, here's hoping your day goes well so that you may stay on the path of benevolence and bask in kindness for the remainder of the day.
