Freedom's Watch to Rival MoveOn Funding
A new conservative organization called Freedom’s Watch has begun running $15 million in TV, radio, and Internet ads aimed at bolstering support in Congress for President Bush’s surge strategy in Iraq.
Conservatives have long wondered why no one has stepped forward to provide as much funding to push their issues as the left-of-center MoveOn.org operations started by George Soros. The new non-profit organization is designed to fill that void: Its funding will exceed that of entities that have been underwritten by Soros.

My understanding is that MoveOn, which was created in 1998, was five years old before it got a single dollar from Soros. To date, the best figures I've been able to find show that Soros has donated some $25 million in toto to MoveOn and other liberal groups.
Compared to Richard Mellon Scaife, who has given over a half a billion to virtually every conservative think tank, issue group, newspaper, website (notably newsmax and worldnetdaily), and pundit, Soros is playing in the minor leagues.
When you add in the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation (which is also in the half-billion range), Adolf Coors' Castle Rock Foundation, the Koch Family Foundation, the John M. Olin Foundation, the Earhart Foundation and a dozen others, the conservative billionaires have outspent the right's favorite boogeyman Soros by at least 20 to 1 and perhaps a lot more.
It is also interesting to note that, unlike Soros, who made every penny with his own hard work and brains, all of the major conservative foundations are run by heirs who interited their billions from the work of their parents and grandparents.
Methinks that you really need a reality check right about now.
