Following Israeli strikes, terror cells told to remove cell phone batteries GAZA CITY — The military leadership of the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad has gone underground. At least three senior Jihad commanders were killed Tuesday by Israeli military strikes in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Middle East Newsline reported. The commanders were responsible for the production and firing of short-range missiles into Israel. "The blood of our comrades will be the fuel for the rockets that will bring death and destruction to the Zionists," Islamic Jihad spokesman Abu Hamza said.
