McCain believed over 'Times,' survey says

"Two-thirds of adults in the U.S. heard or read about" a Feb. 21 story in The New York Times "alluding to a potentially inappropriate relationship between Republican presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain and a female lobbyist during his presidential bid in 2000," according to a new survey from the University of Pennsylvania's National Annenberg Election Survey. Of that group, 41% said they believe McCain — who said there was no improper relationship and that he did the lobbyist no favors. Just 21% believed the Times.
