Iraq and U.S. Agree That U.S. Troops Will Leave Iraq by December 31, 2011
White House (CNSNews.com) - The Bush administration and the Iraqi government have agreed on a timeline to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq by December 31, 2011. Iraqi voters must approve the agreement in a referendum, however, and President-elect Obama has promised a quicker U.S. withdrawal.
