Bay Area revs up electric-car future
Washington Times
Officials in the San Francisco Bay Area are gearing up to make their region "the electric-vehicle capital" of the United States, with hopes that federal economic stimulus money will soon come through and give their project a boost.

I thought the U.S. had a power grid problem -an aging power grid system and not enough electricity during high demand periods.

And where does most of our electricity currently come from? From coal plants. Dirty, carbon producing coal plants. So how does electric cars help our "transportation problems" and help out our environment?
