Jimmy Carter Running Off at the Mouth - Again

Iraq war 'unjust,'says Carter abroad
On foreign soil, ex-president claims it gives terrorists excuse to attack

Former President Jimmy Carter said today, while in Birmingham, England, the detention of terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay Naval base was an embarrassment and had given extremists an excuse to attack the U.S.

Carter also criticized the U.S.-led war in Iraq as "unnecessary and unjust."
Mr. Carter you were a failure as President. You have been an embarrassment to the U.S in recent years. The fact that you think terrorists need excuses to commit acts of terrorism, shows your complete lack of understanding of what we are dealing with. For a man with such a reportedly high IQ, your naivete is rather frightening.

  • Further evidence of the decline of the Democrat Party. For years they hid Carter out of shame for his failed administration and now he is the best they have to offer?

By the way, 'Habitant for Humanity', is all well and good I suppose but it always seemed to me an ex-president would aspire to more.

  • It is good that you brought up his humanitarian deeds. One should not overlook the good things that others do. And proper due should be given to those who give time/money to the community. So for, this I take off my hat to him.

But for Jimmy Carter, the politician, the spokesperson and "goodwill" ambassador of the U.S., I put my hat back on.
