The U.S. has, reportedly, come to an agreement with the government of Afghanistan to transfer approximately 70 Afghani nationals being detained at Guantanamo, back to Afghanistan and Afghani custody. Citing them as no longer useful as intelligence sources for "U.S. counter-terrorism operations", the U.S. wants to keep the dangerous enemy combatants off the battlefield, yet at the same time, don't want to become the world's jailer.
HeavyHanded is kinda' wonderin' if these detainees are going to like their lodging arrangements and the personal care they will receive in their new "home" as well as the "treatment" they received at Camp Gitmo. I strongly suspect, based on what little concern the Middle East has on humanitarian conditions and humane treatment, they will prefer Camp Gitmo.
