Alexander Graham Bell died today in 1922. Born in 1847 in Edinburgh, he developed into a great inventor. Besides developing the telephone, he worked in the aviation field and the nautical field as well. He emigrated to Canada as a young man and then eventually to the US. Because of his spending time in all 3 countries, he is looked upon in all 3 countries as one of their "greatest" citizens. To read about his inventions (excluding the telephone) go
