ALBERT GORE'S DUPLICITY
(CNSNews.com) - When former Vice President Al Gore criticizes President Bush's secret wiretapping program in a planned speech Monday, he'll be introduced by a Republican critic of the president, Human Events reports. The Democrat is reportedly joining up with former Republican Congressman Bob Barr, a critic of Bush on national security issues, who led the campaign to impeach President Bill Clinton. The speech, which is scheduled for Martin Luther King Day in the nation's capital, is sponsored by MoveOn.org and the libertarian Liberty Coalition.
It does not seem Albert Gore was disturbed over Echelon while he spent 8 years as Vice President (why is that?) which according to Wikipedia:
ECHELON is a highly secretive world-wide signals intelligence and analysis network run by the UKUSA Community. [1] ECHELON can capture radio and satellite communications, telephone calls, faxes and e-mails nearly anywhere in the world and includes computer automated analysis and sorting of intercepts. [2] ECHELON is estimated to intercept up to 3 billion communications every day.
