Ever get the feeling that the media is just stuck on stupid? Apparently President Bush does, and this week he took them to task in the wake of another press leak endangering U.S. security and our troops in the field. In this case, it was the Los Angeles Times, which reported on 12 February the military's new technology to neutralize improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, responsible for thousands of U.S. and allied troop casualties in Iraq. "Within five days of the publication, using details from that article, the enemy had posted instructions for defeating this new technology on the Internet," Bush said. "We cannot let the enemy know how we're working to defeat them."
