Once again, the UN Security Council is divided. This time, France stands with the U.S. and the U.K., rather than with Russia and China. Other than this difference, the situation is eerily similar to the early months of 2003, when the Council members went their separate ways over Iraq. The Security Council will again show that it's worthless.
While the Council was having its final deliberations about Iraq, millions of people across the world were involved in anti-war, anti-American protests. Many governments issued statements that echoed the protestor's sentiments. That's not happening this time.
