Great post! That is the first time I have seen the point made that the fact that Iraq is not in a civil war lends tremendous credibility to the new Iraqi government and tremendous validation of Bush's Iraqi policy. Even his opponents have been crying that what we need to see is that the new Iraqi government is capable of handling its own internal affairs. Now that we have seen it, of course they will focus on the still remaining possibility that a civil may yet break out. To do otherwise is to acknowledge that Bush was right.
