Opinion Journal has an editorial, "Gas prices rise, and Republicans panic." They take on the politicians, and rightly so.

"Few things are less becoming in a political party than desperation, as Republicans are now demonstrating as they panic over rising oil and gas prices. If blaming private industry for Congress's own energy mistakes is the best the GOP can do, no wonder its voters may sit out the November election."

I do get tired of the elitist imbeciles. They ought to be investigated. We don't get our money's worth out of them. And in the last 2+ decades, their salary increases have increased at a much higher rate than has the cost of fuel. If the oil companies need to be investigated, than surely do our representatives on Capitol Hill.

They are the ones most directly responsible for not allowing us to drill anywhere so that we could be less dependant on foreign oil. The government makes 10 times the amount (through taxes) than do the oil companies on a gallon of gas. I'm so sick of these morons - all of them. They all need to go. Let's bring in a complete new batch. Maybe they can stumble there way through the political process and actually help this country. It would be worth the try.
