Illegal alien shoots Houston police officer

"Houston police Officer Rodney Johnson made what should have been a routine traffic stop last Thursday when Juan Leonardo Quintero, an illegal alien with a criminal record, shot and killed him. Quintero was deported in 1999 for sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl and DWI, but had snuck back in the country sometime in the interim. Though Quintero was handcuffed, he was able to get his hands over his head and reach a concealed handgun, and then shot Officer Johnson four times in the back of the head from the back seat of the patrol car. Execution should supersede deportation this time.

This tragic crime reminds us again why immigration reform is so critical to our security—both national and local."
