I noticed they didn't point to the fact they were Muslim until the 5th paragraph. Then they only said it once so know one notices. The French are still afraid to name their enemy.

You are correct.
To deny the reality of the situation, the hard, cold facts, is just another way to accomplish political correctness and essentially a method of appeasement.
The whole world is afflicted with this disease, including the US of A.
France's problem is that they have a lethal case of it.
