Iranian Holocaust Conference Draws Fire From West

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) - An Iranian conference on the Holocaust is "paving the way to further genocides," a Holocaust expert said here on Monday. Dozens of Holocaust deniers and revisionists from around the world are attending a two-day state-sponsored conference in Tehran that is examining the claims of the Holocaust. The conference has drawn fire from Israel, the West and Jewish groups but one source said the key would be how the world community responds to the conference. Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki addressed the conference at its opening on Monday and said it was not intended to deny or confirm the Holocaust but to discuss it -- "to create an opportunity for thinkers who cannot express their views freely in Europe." What I am wondering is this: In the sick twisted mind of Iranian president Mahmoud Imanutjob, what difference does it make to him if the holocaust happened or not? He is on record (many times) that he wants to destroy Israel and wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. So on what level of curiosity is he working from when he has stated the holocaust did not happen and wants it investigated, while at the same time is advocating and calling for the complete annihilation? Is the answer as to whether the holocaust took place or not going to have some sort of impact on his policy? I kinda think not. So what is the point to his exercise? To drum up support?
