Nagin is a transparent clown. He epitomizes everything that is wrong with the way much of the black community is conducting itself. Spurned on and validated by their ‘black leaders’ they see every problem as a racism nail to be hit with their racism rhetorical hammer. This despite these same ‘black leaders’ continuing to tell them that everything is still as bad as it always was, thereby, if true, acknowledging the ineffectiveness of their own leadership and tactics.
True to form, like Wiley Coyote running into a brick wall painted to look like a tunnel, they re-elected the guy who now continues to proclaim himself impotent to do anything more or different.
What a lost opportunity to rise to the fore and demonstrate that the racial stereotypes to which they believe themselves to be subjected are without substance.

As an aside, one of these 'black leaders' is of course the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The other day, Chris Matthews (talking to Rev. Al Sharpton - another 'black leader' - about Sen. Biden's remarks describing Barack Obama) referred to the 'esteemed' Rev. Jackson as "one of the greatest orators of this century."
This is amazingly insane!
