This is in the neck of the woods where I grew up before I became 'citified'.

Blizzard piles on in Plains, Midwest
(AP) — Heavy, wet snow and blizzard conditions hit the Plains and Midwest on Thursday, shutting down hundreds of miles of highways, closing schools and forcing cancellations of hundreds of flights.

Forecasters said the storm would dump up to 2 feet of snow in some Midwest states before it is over today.
