Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence

(CNSNews.com) - President Bush Monday spared former vice presidential aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby from jail by commuting Libby's 30-month sentence. Libby would still have two years' probation and will still have to pay a $250,000 fine for obstruction and lying to investigators looking into who leaked the identity of a CIA operative to the media. The conviction will also remain on Libby's record. This comes on the heels of a decision Monday by the U.S. Court of Appeals that Libby will have to wait out his appeal in prison.
