The Meltdown

James Taranto of the WSJ's Opinion Journal does a good job of wading through Bill Clinton's meltdown on Sunday during his interview with Fox's Chris Wallace in his piece You Take My Self, You Take My Self Control.

Yes, one can make the argument that it is time to move on. And yes, all administrations (including the present administration) has made mistakes, and all administrations going back to Jimmah' Carta' could have done more than they did.

But as long as the war on terrorism remains a political football with the Dems (and Clinton) continue to blame Bush for all the "ills of the world", and won't support our efforts in this war, and want to shift blame, and absolve themselves of all responsibilities and accountabilities, it will continue to haunt us.

The best recipe is for all parties to step up to the plate, recognize what we are fighting, the seriousness of the fight, and join together in this effort. I am not holding out much hope.

But what strikes me the most about this interview is Clinton's boorish behavior. It was very unbecoming of a President, or in this case an ex-President.
